Did the FBI tamper with a witness in OKC bombing evidence case?

SALT LAKE CITY — A federal judge has indicated he wants more investigation into allegations the FBI tampered with a witness in a trial over evidence and the Oklahoma City bombing.

At the end of a hearing Thursday, U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups stopped short of finding the FBI in contempt of court. Instead, he indicated that he would appoint a federal magistrate judge to oversee further investigation into the claims.

Judge Waddoups did rule that the FBI failed to file a report on the allegations in a timely manner.

“The report raises questions and is incomplete and insufficient to conclude if the FBI was involved in witness tampering,” he said over objections from government lawyers.

The claims of witness tampering spun out of a trial earlier this year over evidence and records connected to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. Jesse Trentadue is suing over the death of his brother, Kenneth, whom he claims was mistaken for a bombing co-conspirator and killed while in federal custody during an interrogation.

Trentadue is seeking records, including videotapes that purport to show convicted bomber Timothy McVeigh pulling a truck in front of the Murrah building and leaving with someone else before the bomb went off. Trentadue has claimed that other person was an FBI operative.

“There’s no doubt in my mind and it’s proven beyond any doubt that the FBI knew the bombing was going to take place months before it happened,” he told FOX 13 outside of court on Thursday. “They didn’t stop it, and then the question becomes: How did you know and why didn’t you stop it?”

The FBI has insisted it had no advance knowledge of the bombing.

As part of his case for the records, Trentadue sought to call John Matthews, whom he claims was an undercover government operative who knew McVeigh. Matthews called the FBI’s Salt Lake City office and told an operator and an agent he did not want to testify.

Trentadue has accused the FBI of intimidating Matthews into refusing to testify, claiming FBI Special Agent Adam Quirk told him he didn’t have to without a subpoena. A report submitted to the court included transcripts of the conversation, which Justice Department lawyer Kathryn Wyer said found nothing inappropriate took place.

“The only reason Mr. Quirk talked to Mr. Matthews is he was the duty agent,” Wyer insisted. “He (Matthews) did not intend to testify.”

The report, which FOX 13 obtained from court records, shows investigators determined no witness tampering took place. However, it did chastise the FBI for not notifying Justice Department about the conversation with Matthews, and Agent Quirk gave a response that “could mistakenly have been construed as legal advice.”

They'll Be Back: PATCON, Oklahoma City, and Jesse Trentadue's Lonely Crusade for Justice

PATCON's handiwork: A fireman holds an infant killed in the 1995 OKC bombing.

(Updated and revised.)

“His name used to be Don Jarrett,” long-time federal asset John Matthews told FBI Special Agent Adam Quirk during a July 9 phone call. Matthews was concerned that he would have to testify in a lawsuit filed by Salt Lake City attorney Jesse Trentadue seeking the release of long-concealed video tapes from the `1995 Oklahoma City bombing. Trentadue believes that the suppressed tapes would help identify “John Doe II,” a dark-haired, heavy-set man seen by dozens of people in the company of Timothy McVeigh on the day of the bombing.

“John Doe II” remains at large, and the FBI is perversely determined to protect him. For reasons that will be explained anon, Trentadue is convinced that learning his identity is necessary in order to obtain a measure of justice on behalf of his late brother Kenneth, who was killed while in federal custody shortly after the bombing.

PATCON asset John Matthews.
Matthews was scheduled to testify during a federal court hearing in Salt Lake City last July. On the basis of what he had told Trentadue, Matthews was expected to describe how the FBI was closely monitoring McVeigh in the hours leading up to the bombing.

The FBI continues to insist – despite abundant evidence to the contrary -- that there was no advance warning of the OKC terrorist attack, and that John Doe II and the "others unknown" referred to in Timothy McVeigh's indictment do not exist.

Trentadue maintains that there is a “strong possibility” that the long-suppressed video recordings captured McVeigh in the company of a second person who would be identifiable as “an FBI undercover operative."

During the July 9th phone call with Matthews, Mr. Jarrett told the jittery federal informant to avoid testifying if he could, and to perjure himself if he must. He was also instructed to call Special Agent Quirk, who eagerly reinforced that advice.

“I ain't goin' and I ain't saying nothing unless somebody issues me a subpoena,” Matthews told Quirk, according to a transcript obtained by Trentadue. Even if “they haul my ass to Salt Lake City, I'm gonna set [sic] there on the stand and say I don't recall anything.”

“That's fine,” was Quirk's approving reply to Matthews' announced intent to commit perjury.

In a conversation on the following day, Matthews reiterated his determination to avoid a subpoena.

“Well, yeah, and I mean – worst case scenario, even if you testified you can just – you can say you have, you know – you have nothing to say,” advised Quirk.

Matthews, eager to please a high-ranking officer of the American Cheka, suggested that he might take a trip in order to avoid receiving a subpoena.

“That's fine,” gloated Quirk. “F*ck 'em, right?”

Back at ya: FBI Special Agent Quirk.
It was during the second conversation with Quirk that Matthews explicitly mentioned his role as an undercover operative in an FBI initiative called called PATCON, or “Patriot Conspiracy.” This was a long-term provocation campaign in which the Bureau sought “to infiltrate and incite the militia and evangelical Christians to violence so that the Department of Justice could crush them,” explains Trentadue.

The man Matthews had known as “Don Jarrett” had been his FBI handler – and apparently still is, given the deference to him shown by Matthews. Now that the Regime has largely shifted its domestic focus from Muslims back to “sovereign citizens,” Jarrett is probably busy orchestrating homeland security theater operations involving the “Radical Right.”

Assuming that "Don Jarrett" is still the name of Matthews' former handler, he may currently be working as an "Independent Insurance Professional" in Florida. According to his vita, Jarrett retired from the FBI in 1998, becoming an insurance investigator and security consultant for the NFL. It's not clear how he wound up in Afghanistan last year: A May 1, 2013 email to Matthews reported that he was in Afghanistan, and that he expected to leave at the end of June.

Using his last known email address, I sent Jarrett a number of questions to which he has not replied. Given PATCON's history the chances are pretty good that wherever Jarrett finds himself, bad things are being done to innocent people.

“Ruby Ridge was a PATCON operation,” Trentadue has pointed out. “Waco was a PATCON operation. And so, too, I believe, was the Oklahoma City Bombing.”

The same is probably true of the little-remembered October 1995 sequel to the OKC Bombing – the derailment of the Sunset Limited, an Amtrak train carrying 248 passengers. Sleeping car attendant Mitchell Bates was killed and 78 others were injured when four of the train's 12 cars careened off a 30-foot trestle.

A rail joint bar supporting a critical section of the track had been removed by a saboteur who also knew how to short-circuit sensors that would have alerted the Amtrak engineer of trouble on the tracks ahead. Typewritten notes on both sides of the track expressed outrage over the familiar litany of federal crimes and claimed responsibility on behalf of a group calling itself “Sons of Gestapo” (SOG).

Publication of the SOG manifesto caused many foreheads to crease in puzzlement: This was a right-wing terrorist group so obscure that its existence was unknown even to Morris Dees and his ever-vigilant comrades, who are sensitive to every tremor of “right-wing extremism” occurring anywhere in the soyuz.

SOG was unknown prior to the derailment, and hasn't been heard from since. The FBI insists that it is continuing to investigate the derailment. For the past seven years, Victor Hooper, an electrical engineer from Anaheim, California, has been telling anybody in the Bureau who will listen that he knows who carried out that attack, and why it was done.

“That derailment was carried out by some of the people who helped McVeigh build the bomb for Oklahoma City,” Hooper insisted during a telephone interview with me. He claims to have known at least two of them as neighbors in Anaheim, where they became involved in drug trafficking as part of a neo-Nazi criminal syndicate –and that John Doe II is actually a young man he has known since childhood.

As Hooper tells the story, the man he identifies as John Doe II and whose identity is known to the FBI, worked closely with Kingman, Arizona resident Michael Fortier, who was involved in the OKC bombing plot and spent ten years in prison after agreeing to testify against McVeigh. According to Hooper, John Doe II told him that “McVeigh was trained in sabotage and taught him how to derail a train.”

He made a deal: Fortier.
Following the bombing, and publication of a composite sketch of “John Doe II,” FBI agents descended on Kingman en masse. Hooper claims that “Doe” and a handful of co-conspirators (who originally called themselves “Kings of Kings,” before adopting the moniker “Sons of Gestapo”) staged the Amtrak attack as a diversion, working in cooperation with another, longer-established neo-Nazi group.

“I heard these guys talking about derailing a train, but at the time I didn’t take it seriously,” Hooper told me. “For years I’ve been trying to get the FBI to act on this, and I’ve been told that the investigation is still open, but they’re not doing anything about this. They moved heaven and earth to get Osama bin Laden, but their investigation into John Doe II has been lackluster, at best. Why are they denying the testimony of twenty witnesses who saw McVeigh with another John Doe, and saying that John Doe II didn’t exist?”

“The FBI says that they’ve investigated the case, and they’ve planted agents around the people involved in the train derailment,” Hooper continued. “But it’s been nearly twenty years now, and they’ve not done anything about it.”

During his conversation with me, Hooper made it clear that he doesn’t hold Jesse Trentadue in particularly high esteem. However, they emphatically agree that the FBI knows the identity of John Doe II, and continues to protect him.

In a motion asking federal District Judge Clark Waddoups to hold the FBI in contempt of court, Tretadue points out that in 1995, Jarrett was involved in the Kingman, Arizona branch of the OKC Bombing investigation. At the time he was involved with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force in Phoenix, which was obsessively focused on "right-wing extremism."

The FBI poured a huge amount of resources into the Amtrak derailment investigation, which it styled "Operation Splitrail." As is nearly always the case, the operation was either a huge failure as an investigation, or a hugely successful effort to avoid solving the crime.

Trentadue learned as much when he was “contacted by a man named Victor Hooper … who claimed to have information about both the Bombing and the Palo Verde train derailment that occurred in Arizona shortly after the Bombing. Hooper told [Trentadue] that the derailment was done to distract the FBI from the Arizona part of the Bombing investigation.”

FBI's least wanted: John Doe II.
During a conversation with Matthews in 2013, Trentadue recounted what Hooper had told him. That information was relayed by Matthews to his handler, and a short time later Jarrett contacted Trentadue to tell him that the derailment case “was still open; that the derailment had in fact caused resources to be shifted away from the Arizona portion of the Bombing investigation; and that Jarrett himself was transferred from the Bombing investigation to the [derailment] case.”

Even more importantly, Jarrett demanded that Trentadue “keep the Hooper information confidential because Hooper knew things about how the derailment was carried out that only the perpetrators would have known and that he, Jarrett, or others within the FBI would follow up with Hooper.”

By “follow up,” Trentadue understood, Jarrett probably meant “shut down.” This can mean witness tampering, as in the case of John Matthews. It could mean protecting the identity of key undercover operatives, such as “John Doe II.” In the case of Kenneth Trentadue, it meant killing someone who had been misidentified as an FBI asset with critical knowledge of the Bureau’s role in the OKC bombing plot.

For the better part of two decades, Trentadue has tenaciously pursued the truth about the murder of his brother Kenneth while in federal custody.

On parole after serving prison time for bank robbery, Kenneth was detained in San Diego for a supposed parole violation and transported to the Federal Transfer Facility in Oklahoma City shortly after the bombing. His body was “found” hanging in its cell on August 21.

In body type, facial features, age, and even criminal record, Kenneth was a near-twin of Richard Lee Guthrie, a bank robber who was already in federal custody. Guthrie had been involved in a gang called the Aryan Republican Army (ARA) that staged bank robberies to fund domestic terrorism – including, apparently, the OKC bombing. Along with McVeigh, members of the ARA were frequent guests at a white supremacist commune in Oklahoma called Elohim City, which was overrun by government undercover operatives: German national Andres Strassmeir, Klan activist Dennis Mahon, Robert Millar, and former OKC socialite-turned-ATF asset Carol Howe.

The Feds who detained Kenneth Trentadue and beat him to death thought they were disposing of Guthrie, who knew enough about the government’s role in the OKC bombing to betroublesome. Not long after Kenneth was murdered, Guthrie fell victim to his own oddly staged “suicide.” This would have tied up some critical loose ends – if Kenneth’s family hadn’t found a dangling thread, and pulled on it has hard as they could.

Assets: Mahon (l.) with ATF informant Carol Howe.
By the time Kenneth's mother Wilma was informed of his death, the crime scene was sanitized and the body prepared for cremation. Through her shock and bereavement, Wilma Trentadue had the clarity of mind to demand that her son's body be preserved for a funeral.

As Wilma and older brother Jesse were finally allowed to see Kenneth's mortal remains, they were further afflicted by the company of Michael Hood, regional counsel for the Bureau of Prisons.

As Jesse later recalled the conversation, the suitably named Hood issued a singularly unsubtle warning: "The Bureau of Prisons, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's office -- we're one big Justice Department.”

Jesse was astute enough to understand the import of that remark, and brave enough to treat it with the contempt it deserved. His resolution hardened into fury when he and his mother peeled away several layers of crudely applied makeup and examined the condition of Kenneth’s body.

"My brother had been so badly beaten that I personally saw several mourners leave the viewing to vomit in the parking lot!" Jesse wrote in an August 30, 1995 letter to the Bureau of Prisons that pulsated with tightly controlled rage. "Anyone seeing my brother's battered body with his bruised and lacerated forehead, throat cut, and blue-black knuckles would not have concluded that his death was either easy or a 'suicide'!”

Kenneth had committed crimes in his life and made his full allotment of mistakes, but at the time of his abduction he was the married, honestly employed father of a young child.

Finding himself the hopeless captive of the most despicable human beings defiling the earth, Kenneth defiantly chose to die on his own terms, thereby leaving behind evidence that his death was an act of state-sponsored murder, rather than despairing suicide.

"Had my brother been less of a man, your guards would have been able to kill him without inflicting so much injury to his body,” Jesse pointed out in his letter to the BoP. “Had that occurred, Kenney's family would forever be guilt-ridden over his death. Each of us would have lived with the pain of thinking that Kenneth took his own life and that we had somehow failed him. By making the fight he did for his life, Ken has saved us that pain, and God bless for having done so!"

In 2001, a federal judge ruled that the FBI had lied about the circumstances of Kenneth Trentadue’s death, and had destroyed vital evidence in the case. The family received $1.1 million in damages, $250,000 of which was set aside as a reward for information leading to the prosecution and conviction of Kenneth’s murderers. Jesse Trentadue has continued to pursue civil action against the FBI, beginning with his demand to see the suppressed video footage of the bombing. The Bureau, displaying the resourcefulness of inveterate liars with unlimited funds, has employed every dilatory and diversionary tactic it can conjure, including the remarkable excuse that the recordings are lost somewhere in the trackless depths of the agency’s evidence from the OKC bombing investigation.

Today (November 13) Trentadue was in court seeking to have the Bureau held in contempt, and asking for the appointment of a “special master” to “oversee [the FBI’s] compliance with the court’s orders, particularly relating to the allegations of witness tampering, and with Plaintiff’s FOIA request.” While acknowledging the agency’s misbehavior, and “chiding” them for it, Judge Waddoups declined to sanction the Bureau. That limp rebuke prompted a protest from the FBI’s attorney, Kathryn Wyer, who indignantly insisted that the matter was closed because the Bureau had investigated itself and found no wrongdoing.

In 2007, shortly after filing his FOIA request for the OKC bombing videos, Jesse Trentadue contacted by convicted co-conspirator Terry Nichols, who is serving a life sentence for his role in the bombing and cannot be tried again on capital charges. With Trentadue’s assistance, Nichols filed a deposition in a Salt Lake City federal court.

In that sworn statement, Nichols claimed that McVeigh — who allegedly had been recruited as an undercover intelligence asset while in the Army — had been working under the supervision of Larry Potts, the same FBI official who wrote the murderous “rules of engagement” at Ruby Ridge and later supervised the annihilation of the Branch Davidians at Mt. Carmel, Texas. Coordinating the OKC operation was a Deputy Attorney General named Eric Holder, who later played an important role in covering up the circumstances of Kenneth Trentadue’s death.

Trentadue's legal crusade began as an act of filial loyalty. It has become a struggle to expose the truth about the FBI's ongoing campaign of surveillance, infiltration, provocation, and political murder.

"The reason [the FBI] doesn't want that tape released is ... that one of the people getting out of that truck on the morning of April 19, 1995, was working for the FBI," Trentadue said in an interview with Lew Rockwell. "The FBI had, I now know, at least five or six undercover operatives linked in with McVeigh in Elohim City. What I don't know is the motivation behind the bombing.... What is not clear is whether it was a sting operation gone bad, that the plan was to stop it but the FBI failed, or else they wanted it to happen, as horrible as that sounds.... It's clear that they facilitated the bombing, directly or indirectly. It's clear they didn't stop it."

As is so often the case, the best defense the Regime can make on its behalf is to plead murderous incompetence. In the best Soviet-style tradition of bureaucratic privilege, those most deeply implicated in the crime have been abundantly rewarded.

Today, Larry Potts enjoys a well-compensated sinecure as a Vice President with ambiguous duties for the Scientific Games Corporation. Eric Holder, who reinstated the OKC-inspired domestic terrorism task force in January of this year, is stepping down as Attorney General in anticipation of an even more lucrative reward. John Doe II and his associates remain at large, as does Mr. Jarrett, and countless other members of the FBI’s merry troupe of Homeland Security Theater players. We’ll be hearing from them again.

(My thanks to commenter "ATFsux," who pointed out some important information about Mr. Jarrett's background.)

Defense: Surveillance a factor in airport case?

WICHITA — Defense attorneys for the man accused of a suicide bomb plot at the Wichita airport want to know whether mass surveillance first led federal authorities to the avionics technician.

The U.S. attorney's office declined to comment Monday on the latest court filing in the case of Terry Loewen. He's been jailed since December for allegedly trying to bring a van filled with inert explosives onto the tarmac at Mid-Continent Airport. Loewen has pleaded not guilty to attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction, attempting to use an explosive device to damage property and attempting to give material support to al-Qaida.

It has been nearly a year since his arrest following a months-long sting in which undercover agents posed as co-conspirators, and his attorneys argued in a redacted court filing Friday that prosecutors have given them no evidence indicating how Loewen first came to the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The dispute is important because defense attorneys could seek to suppress evidence obtained or derived from any unlawful electronic surveillance. The defense is also apparently exploring a possible entrapment defense, a key part of which is finding out whether Loewen was disposed to commit the alleged crimes before the FBI undercover operation began.

His defense attorneys have argued that the FBI groomed Loewen for months before his arrest, and that there are no co-conspirators or any connection to actual al-Qaida contacts.

Defense counsel wrote they are concerned that the government may have come across Loewen before their investigation under "constitutionally questionable practices" employed by the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency or under the FBI's playbook for domestic investigations. It noted that programs such as the collection of massive amounts of metadata have

This week, we’re treated to more news of the new breed of ISIS recruits—Americans in the coveted 15-29 year old demographic. Heather Elizabeth Coffman, not yet 30, has been charged by federal authorities with “making a false statement regarding an offense involving international or domestic terrorism,” as the Washington Post reports. Statements posted to her Facebook page include such gems as “We are all ISIS,” “I love ISIS!” and, in reference to her sister, “My dad is a little angry because I got her into all this jihad stuff.”

Quotes like these suggest myriad reasons for respectable mainstream culture to write off Coffman as one more failed American. She is a designated loser in so many respects. Coffman lives with her parents in Henrico, Virginia (where?). A white single mother to a seven-year-old son, she works (or worked) at the local mall, and only recently got into Allah. What a catch, right? And those white-trash eyebrows? Gross.

Pinned to the center of the world’s least fashionable Venn diagram, Heather Coffman appears to have no one but the government to count on for careful attention. But the government is planning to throw her in jail—no court date, son be damned. An all-too-attentive FBI agent, pretending to be some pro-ISIS guy on the Internet, succeeded in wringing from Coffman an offer to hook him up with Islamic State peeps in Turkey. (Turkey?) Allegedly, says the FBI, Coffman also dallied online with a murky “husband” figure who (apparently) lives abroad and (apparently) is into the jihad stuff as well.

Armed with this sad mushball of evidence of…something, the feds have promptly put the kibosh on Heather Coffman’s life, such is it is. Her best-case scenario is now worse than many of our personal Plan Zs. Good luck getting rehired at Hot Topic with a stint in federal terrorist prison, or reclaiming custody of a child with your pro-ISIS Facebook page running more wild and free than you’ll ever be again.

For a government keen on preventing another “Jihad Jane” embarrassment, what difference does Coffman’s fate make now? Like Jane, born Colleen LaRose, Coffman falls straight between the cracks of our pity-crazy culture, into the gaping category of human goods too damaged for social use. LaRose’s attorney described her in words that will predictably be assigned to Coffman—“a lonely and vulnerable woman easily manipulated by others online.” Coffman’s unforgivable ISIS crush, it will surely turn out, can too “be explained in part by deep psychological scars from her childhood.”

God knows how much it sucks to be Heather Coffman. Odds are, she hasn’t had it quite as bad as LaRose, for whom jihad seemed like quite a step up from six years of prepubescent rape at the hands of her father, a teenage life as a runaway prostitute, and a marriage, at sweet sixteen, to a nice boy twice her age. "I was in a trance and I couldn't see anything else," LaRose said at her sentencing. "I don't want to be in jihad no more."

Coffman hadn’t even the chance: law enforcement stopped her—phew!—mid-trance. We can’t be too careful. In an age when the Internet has organized infinite communities of failed Americans into potentially lethal weapons, the precautionary principle dictates that we jail first and ask questions later. The likes of Coffman are “probably” already halfway wards of the state anyhow.

And so it goes, another chapter written in the mutually abusive relationship of bad government and bad culture. Thanks to the current administration’s preposterous Mideast policy, the Islamic State took advantage of the howling moral vacuum at the heart of failed and failing humans, from America to Aleppo, with no one to help them say no to acting out the most naively c

5 Things Government Whistleblowers say you must know

Nov 24, 2014, 12:32 pm

LONDON, UK — No matter how much they dislike it, governments need calling out.

That’s what a group of whistleblowers who risked their careers, reputations and personal freedom to uphold said Friday. Now serving on the advisory board of ExposeFacts.org, a project of the Institute for Public Accuracy in Washington, they said the nature of government secrecy ensures that more people will have to take similar risks in the future — and that the consequences could be even greater.

“If whistleblowers are suppressed, which is the clear intention of the US and British governments, all that’s left is a flow of official information… which adds up to lies and war,” said ExposeFacts coordinator Norman Soloman.

The government doesn’t need to spy on people all the time to keep them in line. It just needs them to know that it can.

The U.S. National Security Agency and British equivalent, GCHQ, aren’t using all the information they’re gathering today, said J. Kirk Wiebe, a former NSA employee who went public after his 2001 retirement with information about the agency’s mass collection of individuals’ data. It’s being stored in a server to be used as evidence of crimes committed down the road.

Those who condone spying because they personally have nothing to hide should remember that it’s not clear what future governments will consider illegal, he said.

“The next time you hear someone saying ‘I’m not worried, I’m not doing anything wrong’ — rubbish,” Wiebe said. “You don’t get to choose what’s wrong.”

Surveillance doesn’t guarantee security.

Like what you're reading? Support high-quality local journalism and help underwrite independent news without the spin.

“We are told that governmental secrecy is protecting us, when the truth is the opposite,” said Coleen Rowley, a former FBI special agent who exposed the agency’s intelligence failures before the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

A refusal to share intelligence within agencies, across agencies and with the public contributed to the attacks, the 9/11 Commission found.

Matthew Hoh, who resigned from the U.S. State Department in 2009 to protest American policy in Afghanistan, offered another example. In the wake of disclosures by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, the Obama administration argued that the NSA’s surveillance tactics thwarted 54 terror attacks. After pressure from journalists and U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy, the NSA confirmed just four cases, none of which were a direct result of the spying program.

“The government can scare and intimidate, but there has been no evidence that these tactics are helping,” Hoh said. “This is actually causing us to be much less secure.”

In the U.S., whistleblowers are worse than foreign spies.

The Obama administration has prosecuted more people under the Espionage Act than all other administrations combined, Solomon wrote in The Nation last month. It’s gone after journalists and government employees suspected of leaking information. It also created the National Insider Threat Policy, requiring government employees to report coworkers who may be passing on classified information.

“In effect, the people of the U.S. are to be viewed as the enemy from whom basic information about government actions should be withheld,” Solomon said.

“There’s nothing a government hates worse than embarrassment,” Wiebe added. “It’s almost worse than leaking a top secret.”

Woodward and Bernstein’s Watergate scoop probably couldn’t happen today.

Deep Throat, The Washington Post’s key anonymous source implicating President Richard Nixon’s administration, was FBI associate director Mark Felt.

Today, the first call reporter Bob Woodward placed to Felt would have been logged into NSA databases and easily traced by officials searching the leak’s source, Rowley said. Never mind all the security cameras that are surely covering the parking garage where they met.

History proves whistleblowers right. Eventually.

In 1963, the FBI called surveillance target Martin Luther King, Jr. the “most dangerous… Negro leader in the country.” Today, Rowley pointed out, he’s an American icon with his own federal holiday.

“It’s incredible what time can do,” she said. “And the reason is, facts come out.”

Similar reappraisals could be in store for whistleblowers such as Snowden and Chelsea Manning, who passed documents to Wikileaks, panelists said. Today, Manning is serving a 35-year prison sentence and Snowden is in exile in Russia.

"Both Chelsea and Edward are on the right side of history," Hoh said, "and they will be vindicated."

Edward Snowden, the whistleblower who leaked top secret documents revealing a vast surveillance program by the US government to the Guardian newspaper. The Guardian's Glenn Greenwald interviewed Snowden in a hotel room in Hong Kong and released the video on Sunday June 10, 2013.

Be thankful it hasn’t happened yet
By Kevin Barrett, Veterans Today Editor

It’s Thanksgiving 2014. You’re still here – reading this. So….
Be thankful. Be very, verythankful.
Terrible things have happened. Terrible things are happening. And undoubtedly, terrible things will continue to happen.
But it could be a whole lot worse.
And yes, I know it’s bad. Every week, Jim Fetzer and I bring you a hideously depressing summary of all of the awful things going on in the world. It’s a TV show called False Flag Weekly News, and it goes out live onNoLiesRadio.orgevery Thursday at 8 a.m. Pacific/11 a.m. Eastern. This week we will be bringing you a special Thanksgiving episode guaranteed to stuff your inner turkey with appallingly demoralizing reports about the most insufferably disheartening happenings.
If you watch False Flag Weekly News regularly, you will be atrociously well-informed about the unbearably hideous events transpiring on this benighted planet.
Even incurably optimistic people have been cured of that dread disease by watching False Flag Weekly News. One cockeyed optimist, simply by setting his computer screen exactly 28 inches from his eyes and focusing intently on it for the duration of a single 30-minute episode ofFalse Flag Weekly News, was able to quickly achieve 20-20 vision, throw away his rose-colored eyeglasses, and cancel his weekly visits to the ophthalmologist.
Now he’s seeing a psychiatrist instead. Fortunately, she’s much better-looking.
Such things might happen to you too, if you made a habit of watching False Flag Weekly News.
Every week we bring you 25 or 30 stories, virtually all of them qualifying as spine-chilling, gut-wrenching bad news. If you survive watching our show, you will be in a position to withstand everything and anything that could possibly come your way, in accordance with Nietzsche’s axiom “whatever doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.”
But Thanksgiving is no ordinary Thursday. So this November 27th, as we kneel down before our national turkeys and plunge our carving knives into the juicy stuffing of our individual and collective dreams, it is incumbent upon us to remember the nearly infinite number of things that we ought to be grateful for. High on that list: The very large number of terrible, horrible, no-good, awful things that, somehow, haven’t happened yet.
Here are some of those things. Each of these stories represents an authentic newspaper headline or TV news lead-in, just like the ones we report on False Flag Weekly News…except these dreadful things have not occurred…at least, not yet.

Two Oklahoma Airports: David Boren, KuwAm, and 9/11
Posted on October 28, 2012 by Kevin Ryan

There are many connections between the events of 9/11 and Oklahoma
City. Some of these connections revolve around the alleged 9/11
hijackers, the “20th hijacker” Zacarias Moussaoui, and a couple of
airports around Oklahoma City. Looking closer at the airport
connections reveals startling coincidences with regard to the people
who ran World Trade Center (WTC) security company Stratesec, as well
as CIA Director George Tenet’s mentor, David Boren, who is currently
the co-chairman of President Obama’s Intelligence Advisory Board.

Independent investigators have shown that there are striking links
between the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma
City (OKC) and the events of 9/11.[1, 2] Recently, many 9/11
investigators have become more interested in learning the truth about
the OKC bombing after being exposed to the excellent film A Noble

The OKC investigations have revealed eyewitnesses accounts of the
sighting in Oklahoma of Mohamed Atta and five other 9/11 hijacker
suspects.[4] Last year, an article in the Oklahoma Gazette confirmed
that records show Atta, Marwan Al-Shehhi, Nawaf Al-Hazmi and Zacarias
Moussaoui all “either visited or lived in Oklahoma from July 2000 to
August 2001.”[5]

Between February and August of 2001, Zacarias Moussaoui lived in
Norman, Oklahoma and attended Airman Flight School at Max Westheimer
Airport, which is owned and operated by the University of Oklahoma.
Moussaoui even lived in a university dormitory. According to
Moussaoui’s indictment, Atta and Al-Shehhi had visited the same flight
school in July, 2000, but did not take classes there.

Westheimer Aiport is just three miles northwest of Norman and was
originally a U.S. Navy flight training field. A squadron of the Civil
Air Patrol (CAP), a federally supported, non-profit corporation that
serves as the official civilian auxiliary of the U. S. Air Force,
still gathers at Westheimer every week.[6] Coincidentally, several of
the alleged 9/11 hijackers rented apartments in Delray Beach, Florida
from a member of CAP. One of the apartments was said to be “a meeting
ground for terrorists.” The CAP member landlord, Mike Irish, turned
out to be the first intended victim of the October 2001 anthrax
attacks. One of his employees actually died from the anthrax.[7]

In 2005, Airman Flight School shut down due to its inability to pay
rent and the university newspaper revealed the name of the company
that had leased the building. “The airport building is owned by the
University of Oklahoma. A Cleveland County District Court order had
granted possession of the building to the current landlord, Baker
Hughes, Inc., of Houston, which leases the building from OU.” Baker
Hughes is an oil services company that is among an elite few making a
killing off of the Iraq War.[8]

Dale Davis, the vice president of Airman Flight School, said FBI
agents showed up at the facility asking questions about Moussaoui and
had been there before. “Davis said FBI agents had visited his school
just two years earlier to inquire about Ihab Ali Nawawi, who took
flight training there in 1993 and was later charged in connection with
the 1998 US Embassy bombings in Africa, which were blamed on bin
Laden’s group. Davis also confirmed that Atta and another suspected
hijacker, Marwan al-Shehhi, visited Airman Flight School, staying
overnight at the school’s dormitory in the nearby Sooner Inn, before
deciding to train at another facility.”[9]

Weeks after 9/11, however, FBI Director Robert Mueller repeated his
false assertion that federal authorities had no idea that terrorists
were using U.S. flight schools to train for piloting commercial
airliners. ”There were no warning signs that I’m aware of that would
indicate this type of operation in the country,” he said.[10]
Apparently he had forgotten about the famous July 2001 Phoenix memo
and several other related warnings focused on that exact risk.[11]

Established in 1989, Airman Flight School was owned by Jerry Carroll
and Brenda Keene. Apparently Carroll and Keene bilked a number of
their students out of their life savings as the flight school was
going under. But the service was very good in some cases, considering
that — “Flight instructor Juan Carlos [Merida] picked up Moussaoui at
Will Rogers World Airport when he came to Oklahoma and took him back
to the airport when he left.”[12]

Airman’s students sued Carroll and Keene when the business collapsed,
along with KJB Flight Management, an entity of which Keene and David
Batton were principals. KJB had tried to buy Airman and was managing
the school until it closed.[13] David Batton was, at one time, the
Cleveland County Assistant District Attorney. The Panamanian Juan
Carlos Merida ...

DXer said in a 2010 comment …

The FBI’s narrative will never withstand the production of emails of John Ezzell, James Burans and David Wilson.
The FBI needs to give an answer consistent with what documents eventually produced will establish.
And if the answer is: We don’t know who mailed and processed the anthrax but we ask the country’s indulgence while we close the case and move on to many other pressing matters, so be it.

I think it’s unlikely (although possible despite the largest investigation in the history of the FBI) that the FBI simply hasn’t solved the case and doesn’t know who do it.
I think it’s also unlikely that they have more evidence which would actually make the case against Dr. Ivins. If they do, what possible reason is there for not making such information public?
Which leaves the most likely alternative …
… that the FBI knows who did it, it isn’t Ivins,

but they won’t tell the American people.

Who are they protecting?

Former FBI Agent Calls For Justice If Any Harm Done To Torturers

December 9, 2014 9:00 pm -

We can't get justice for torture architects, but Jonathan Gilliam thinks Senators who released the report should be brought up on murder charges, if harm is done to the torturers.

Unfortunately, Fox News isn't the only cable network putting torture apologists on the air, but they're on the hot seat today because they've been indulging in it since the minute the report was released.

Former FBI agent Jonathan Gilliam has his priorities screwed up, because his concern is for the safety of those who tortured or created the conditions for torture, like John Yoo, and the shrinks who were paid $81 million taxpayer dollars to invent ways to inflict cruelty on others.

Some of the things he says in this segment cannot go unanswered. For starters, he focuses on waterboarding, as if none of the other more despicable acts never happened. So when he says, "Waterboarding is not torture," I have a few questions for him, after I respond with the affirmative statement that waterboarding is indeed torture. You bet it is.

Here are my questions, based on this list of disgraceful acts. The first one is multiple choice.

1) Which of the following would be considered "inflicting damage for little or no reason, just to inflict damage or to impose fear"? That's Gilliam's definition of torture. Here are the choices:

Rectal feeding with no medical reason for it - "At least five CIA detainees were subjected to “rectal rehydration” or rectal feeding without documented medical necessity. …Majid Khan’s “lunch tray” consisting of hummus, pasta with sauce, nuts, and raisins was “pureed” and rectally infused. [Page 4]"
Sleep deprivation- Listed as one of their "interrogation techniques" on page 32.
Putting detainees in diapers- Page 32
Insect use - Page 32
Mock burials - Page 32
2) Does Gilliam believe it is appropriate to use personnel who have admitted to sexual assault and have anger management issues to "interview" detainees?

“The Committee reviewed CIA records related to several CIA officers and contractors involved in the CIA’s Detention and Interrogation Program, most of whom conducted interrogations. The Committee identified a number of personnel whose backgrounds include notable derogatory information calling into question their eligibility for employment, their access to classified information, and their participation in CIA interrogation activities. In nearly all cases, the derogatory information was known to the CIA prior to the assignment of the CIA officers to the Detention and Interrogation Program. This group of officers included individuals who, among other issues, had engaged in inappropriate detainee interrogations, had workplace anger management issues, and had reportedly admitted to sexual assault.” [Page 59]

↓ Story continues below ↓

3) What does Gilliam think about the "interviewer" who played Russian roulette? Does he think that's not torture, too?

“Among other abuses…had engaged in ‘Russian Roulette’ with a detainee.” [Page 424]

Tomorrow morning Michael Hayden is going to appear on MSNBC's Morning Joe to try and sell viewers on the idea that there was no torture involved in their "interviews." Anyone with half a brain cannot read even summaries of that torture report and not believe those "interviews" were conducted

FBI Agent Accused of Witness Tampering Arrested as OKC Bombing Trial Continues in Federal Court in Salt Lake City

FBI Agent Adam Grant Quirk was arrested over the weekend following an alleged fight with his girlfriend. Why am I interested? Because Quirk, 36, is the same agent accused of telling a key witness to take a vacation in order to avoid testifying during the little-reported Oklahoma City Bombing trial continues to make its way through federal court in Salt Lake City.

Screenshot of Trentadue's Motion 12-1-14
Screenshot of Trentadue’s Motion 12-1-14

As I reported Aug. 10, a man scheduled to testify in federal court claimed Agent Quirk had called him several times, telling him that it would be best for everyone if he did not testify, according to a document submitted by attorney for the plaintiff in the case, Jesse C. Trentadue v. Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Allegations of bad behavior on the part of FBI officials, including Quirk, resulted in Judge Clark Waddoups threatening to hold FBI officials in contempt in November and in the plaintiff’s attorney asking the judge earlier this month to appoint a Special Master to investigate allegations of FBI witness tampering.

If you didn’t know there was an Oklahoma City Bombing trial going on, you’re not alone. Thanks to me, however, you can catch up on things by reading these articles.

Report: FBI's anthrax investigation was flawed

December 19, 2014

The Government Accountability Office says the science the FBI used to investigate the 2001 anthrax attacks was flawed.

The GAO released a report Friday on its findings. The agency didn't take a position on the FBI's conclusion that Army biodefense researcher Bruce Ivins acted alone in making and sending the powdered spores that killed five people and sickened 17 others.

The report adds fuel to the debate among experts, including many of Ivins' co-workers at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland, over whether Ivins could have made and mailed the anthrax-filled envelopes.

The GAO said the FBI's research did not provide a full understanding of the methods and conditions that give rise to genetic mutations used to differentiate between samples of anthrax bacteria. The report calls this a "key scientific gap."

The Truth Is Out There
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s trial is scheduled to begin in January in federal court—and could end with him being sentenced to death. Though Russ Baker believes the Tsarnaevs were involved in the marathon bombings, he has dire questions about the official narrative. Here are three of his toughest questions.

| January 2015

Did the FBI recruit or attempt to recruit Tamerlan as an informant or agent?

Baker’s evidence is far from conclusive, but he points out several suspicious and unexplained oddities. Officially, the FBI claims that it first investigated Tamerlan Tsarnaev after getting a tip from Russian intelligence that he was becoming radicalized. Yet, Baker notes, the New York Times has reported that Russian intelligence agents first contacted the U.S. government about Tamerlan in March 2011—and also that the FBI met with Tamerlan two months earlier, in January 2011. The reporter, veteran Times correspondent Eric Schmitt, told me he stands by the story and the timeline. Baker’s website asks: How did the FBI originally learn about the Tsarnaevs, if not from the Russians?

Baker also points out that, even though the FBI put Tamerlan on a watch list in 2011, he was allowed to travel to Dagestan and freely return to the United States in 2012. A flag placed on Tamerlan’s name by a U.S. customs official had expired by the time Tamerlan reentered the country.

Of course, Baker isn’t the only one asking the question. In October 2013, Senator Charles Grassley, an Iowa Republican, wrote a letter to FBI Director James Comey—widely reported in the mainstream media—asking, “Other than Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s interview by [FBI] agents following the warning from Russia, has the FBI had any other contact with either of the brothers?” Comey’s response did not provide an answer. Grassley also asked Comey, “Did the FBI attempt to use the tactic of ‘recruitment’ or a sting operation with Tamerlan Tsarnaev? If not, why not?” Comey denied that the FBI had attempted to recruit Tamerlan, but did not elaborate.

Who killed MIT police officer Sean Collier?

A month after the bombings, under the headline “Boston MIT Cop Cover-up,” Baker compared Collier to J. D. Tippit, the Dallas police officer whose murder, just after the assassination of JFK, led to the arrest of Lee Harvey Oswald. “In both cases,” Baker wrote, “it was the killing of a police officer that turbocharged the police pursuit—and that, once the suspect was apprehended, convinced the public quickly that the police had their man.” Beyond that, similarities evaporate—yet the memory of Tippit haunts Baker’s theories on the Collier murder. Baker says the official motive given for the Tsarnaevs’ alleged killing of Collier—that they wanted his gun—doesn’t make sense, because no one took Collier’s gun. (The government claims the brothers tried to get the gun out of its holster but failed.) And Baker ascribes an ominous weight to evidence that the FBI was active around MIT’s campus before the chase for the Tsarnaev brothers began—including an October 2013 admission by the Massachusetts State Police and the Boston Police Department that “The Joint Terrorism Task Force was at M.I.T., located in Cambridge, MA, on April 18, 2013, on a matter unrelated to the Tsarnaev brothers.” Baker also cites three unnamed law enforcement officials who told the New York Times in April 2013 that surveillance-camera footage showed two people approaching Collier’s car from behind but did not show their faces. For Baker, these unexplained facts are enough to cast doubt on the official story that the Tsarnaevs killed Collier.

Why is the alleged carjacking victim, “Danny,” still anonymous?

“Danny” is the alias given to the anonymous Chinese immigrant who said the Tsarnaevs carjacked him. He also claimed that Tamerlan confessed to detonating the bombs and killing Collier.

Baker is critical of  Danny’s anonymity and his relationship to Northeastern University criminologist James Alan Fox, who has acted as an intermediary between Danny and the press. Baker calls Fox, who has publicly condemned the Tsarnaevs, “the least curious criminologist I remember encountering in a long time.” Fox, who regularly gives media interviews, tells me that he was asked to assume this role by Danny’s former academic adviser, a fellow Northeastern professor, who knew Fox by reputation. “It wasn’t because I was a criminologist,” he says. “It was because I have a good deal of experience dealing with the media.” Fox concedes that he is unaware of any other sensational case in which a key witness has remained anonymous, but says that question falls outside the scope of his expertise. He likens his role as Danny’s media gatekeeper to one that family members play in high-profile cases, adding that in this case, Danny’s family is in China. Throu

Government Admits It Was Only Behind Destruction Of North Tower
NEWS • Terrorism • Government • 911 • News • ISSUE 51•01 • Jan 6, 2015

Newly declassified documents reveal plans by the Bush Administration and the Project for the New American Century to instill fear in Americans by “destroying the taller, more iconic tower” of the World Trade Center.

WASHINGTON—Saying they felt a duty to reveal what truly transpired on September 11, 2001, numerous high-ranking federal officials announced publicly Tuesday that the United States government was responsible for destroying just the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

Representatives from the Central Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, and half a dozen other government bureaus revealed at a morning press conference that they were responsible for the development, funding, and execution of a plan to take down 1 World Trade Center in New York’s Financial District. Describing their mission as an unqualified success, officials noted that the completion of their objective was followed 17 minutes later by a separate suicide attack on 2 World Trade Center by al-Qaeda operatives piloting a hijacked airliner.

“The American people deserve to know that, of the two towers that were brought down in Lower Manhattan on 9/11, only one was the target of the federal government,” said CIA spokesman Tom McLennan, emphasizing that their carefully guarded plot was a wholly independent event planned without any foreknowledge of the similar act of terrorism designed by al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden for the same day. “While we freely admit our culpability in striking the first building, let us be clear that we had no hand in destroying the other tower. In fact, that was just as shocking and devastating to us as it was to all American citizens.”

“Aside from our controlled implosion of Tower No. 1, we can assure the public that the September 11 attacks were carried out by Islamic radicals as part of their war against the West,” McLennan added.

According to recently declassified intelligence briefings and memos, FBI agents began making nighttime deliveries of thousands of pounds of RDX explosives to the World Trade Center in January 2001 as part of the first phase of what government officials dubbed Operation North Tower. Detailed schematics confirm that the charges were placed within Tower No. 1 according to an Army Corps of Engineers demolition plan designed to take down the 1,368-foot-tall skyscraper without damaging any of the surrounding structures, including the adjacent Tower No. 2.

In what they described as the most logical cover for their plan to bring down one of the Twin Towers, government officials then outlined their process of guiding a commercial airliner into the building via remote control. Military leaders assured American citizens that while they, in fact, had deployed a black-ops team to Boston’s Logan Airport the night of September 10, 2001 to plant the RC transponder on a single West Coast-bound flight, the aircraft that crashed into 2 World Trade Center the next morning was flown solely by jihadists about whom they had no prior knowledge.

The nation’s leaders also reiterated throughout the briefing that the Mossad agents who initially proposed the plan to the U.S. did not have any involvement in the attack on the South Tower either.

“By ordering NORAD to deactivate the nation’s air defenses on 9/11 we succeeded in clearing a path to Manhattan for our plane, but this apparently created a window of opportunity for five al-Qaeda operatives who, ostensibly, departed on another aircraft just a few minutes after our plane did,” said NSA officer Will Mason, adding that FAA leaders were instructed to delay reporting the radio-controlled airliner’s deviations from its flight path that morning, but immediately began panicking once they noticed the similar behavior of a second aircraft. “No one had any idea who was controlling that other plane. We were celebrating quite a bit after our successful strike, but when the second one hit it pretty much silenced the entire Pentagon Command Center.”

“Obviously, had we been aware that the South Tower was going to be hit, we would have given all Jewish workers advance notice to stay out of that building as well,” he added.

Officials then explained how, on that Tuesday morning, President George W. Bush was quietly informed by an aide during an elementary school appearance that the plan had been carried out with precision, only to be notified just minutes later that the United States was under attack.

“The scripts we had given every major news anchor were pretty much useless after that second impact,” said CIA agent Donald Macy, noting that the highly orchestrated misinformation campaign they had crafted over 10 months only made sense within the original context of one building being targeted. “After that point, any confusion was beyond our doing.”

“Overall, I would say the majority of the terror experienced by the nation that day was caused by somebody other than the U.S. government,” he continued. “We were only behind about half of that.”

U.S. Capitol terror defendant's father says son was taken in by 'snitch'

—Christopher Lee Cornell showed little direction in his life, spending hours playing video games in his bedroom in his parents’ apartment, rarely going out or working, and voicing distrust of the government and the media. But in recent weeks, his parents say, they noticed a change in him.

They thought it was a change for the better: The 20-year-old suburban Cincinnati man was helping his mother around the house, cooking meals, sitting with his parents to watch movies, and talking about having become a Muslim.

“He said, ‘I’m at peace with myself,’” his father, John Cornell, recalled Thursday—a day after his son was arrested in an FBI sting and charged with plotting to attack the U.S. Capitol with pipe bombs and guns and kill government officials.

The arrest came with U.S. counterterrorism authorities on high alert against homegrown extremists and “lone wolves”—disaffected or disturbed individuals who hold radical beliefs but have no direct connection to a terrorist organization.

The bearded, long-haired Cornell was taken into custody outside a gun range and store west of Cincinnati after, the FBI said, he bought two M–15 semi-automatic rifles and 600 rounds of ammunition as part of a plan to go to Washington.

The FBI said he had for months sent social media messages and posted video espousing support for Islamic State militants and for violent attacks by others.

It was unclear from court papers if he had made contact with any terrorist groups.

But in an instant message to an FBI informant, Cornell wrote that he had been in contact with people overseas and that he planned to go ahead with the attack even without specific authorization.

House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio said a controversial government surveillance program was responsible for alerting authorities to the plot. He mentioned FISA, or the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which gives the government authority to eavesdrop under certain conditions.

Cornell, using the online name of Raheel Mahrus Ubaydah, told the informant they should “wage jihad,” authorities said in court papers. He allegedly wrote in an instant message that “we should meet up and make our own group in alliance with the Islamic State here and plan operations ourselves.”

Cornell was jailed for a federal court appearance Friday in Cincinnati. A federal public defender listed as representing him did not immediately respond to messages.

His father called him “a mommy’s boy” taken in by a “snitch” who was trying to help himself.

In court papers, the FBI said the unidentified informant had been cooperating with authorities to obtain “favorable treatment” in an unrelated case, and that the informant made contact with Cornell last August after telling the FBI about the social media posts regarding the Islamic State.

Similar cases in recent years have led to accusations of entrapment. But the FBI has argued such stings are vital for averting deadly terror attacks, and juries have returned tough sentences.

One such case involved an undercover agent pretending to be a terrorist who provided a teenager with a phony car bomb, then watched him plant it in downtown Chicago. In another instance in Boston, a man was sentenced to 17 years in prison for plotting with undercover agents to fly remote-controlled planes packed with explosives into the Pentagon and U.

The Informants
The FBI has built a massive network of spies to prevent another domestic attack. But are they busting terrorist plots—or leading them?
—By Trevor Aaronson | September/October 2011 Issue

JAMES CROMITIE WAS A MAN of bluster and bigotry. He made up wild stories about his supposed exploits, like the one about firing gas bombs into police precincts using a flare gun, and he ranted about Jews. "The worst brother in the whole Islamic world is better than 10 billion Yahudi," he once said.
A 45-year-old Walmart stocker who'd adopted the name Abdul Rahman after converting to Islam during a prison stint for selling cocaine, Cromitie had lots of worries—convincing his wife he wasn't sleeping around, keeping up with the rent, finding a decent job despite his felony record. But he dreamed of making his mark. He confided as much in a middle-aged Pakistani he knew as Maqsood.
"I'm gonna run into something real big," he'd say. "I just feel it, I'm telling you. I feel it."

Maqsood and Cromitie had met at a mosque in Newburgh, a struggling former Air Force town about an hour north of New York City. They struck up a friendship, talking for hours about the world's problems and how the Jews were to blame.
It was all talk until November 2008, when Maqsood pressed his new friend.
"Do you think you are a better recruiter or a better action man?" Maqsood asked.
"I'm both," Cromitie bragged.
"My people would be very happy to know that, brother. Honestly."
"Who's your people?" Cromitie asked.
We analyzed the prosecutions of 508 alleged domestic terrorists. View them by affiliation or state, or play with the full data set.

Maqsood said he was an agent for the Pakistani terror group, tasked with assembling a team to wage jihad in the United States. He asked Cromitie what he would attack if he had the means. A bridge, Cromitie said.
"But bridges are too hard to be hit," Maqsood pleaded, "because they're made of steel."
"Of course they're made of steel," Cromitie replied. "But the same way they can be put up, they can be brought down."
Maqsood coaxed Cromitie toward a more realistic plan. The Mumbai attacks were all over the news, and he pointed out how those gunmen targeted hotels, cafés, and a Jewish community center.
"With your intelligence, I know you can manipulate someone," Cromitie told his friend. "But not me, because I'm intelligent." The pair settled on a plot to bomb synagogues in the Bronx, and then fire Stinger missiles at airplanes taking off from Stewart International Airport in the southern Hudson Valley. Maqsood would provide all the explosives and weapons, even the vehicles. "We have two missiles, okay?" he offered. "Two Stingers, rocket missiles."
Maqsood was an undercover operative; that much was true. But not for Jaish-e-Mohammad. His real name was Shahed Hussain, and he was a paid informant for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Ever since 9/11, counterterrorism has been the FBI's No. 1 priority, consuming the lion's share of its budget—$3.3 billion, compared to $2.6 billion for organized crime—and much of the attention of field agents and a massive, nationwide network of informants. After years of emphasizing informant recruiting as a key task for its agents, the bureau now maintains a roster of 15,000 spies—many of them tasked, as Hussain was, with infiltrating Muslim communities in the United States. In addition, for every informant officially listed in the bureau's records, there are as many as three unofficial ones, according to one former high-level FBI official, known in bureau parlance as "hip pockets."
The bureau now maintains a roster of 15,000 spies, some paid as much as $100,000 per case, many of them tasked with infiltrating Muslim communities in the United States.
The informants could be doctors, clerks, imams. Some might not even consider themselves informants. But the FBI regularly taps all of them as part of a domestic intelligence apparatus whose only historical peer might be COINTELPRO, the program the bureau ran from the '50s to the '70s to discredit and marginalize organizations ranging from the Ku Klux Klan to civil-rights and protest groups.
Throughout the FBI’s history, informant numbers have been closely guarded secrets. Periodically, however, the bureau has released those figures. A Senate oversight committee in 1975 found the FBI had 1,500 informants. In 1980, officials disclosed there were 2,800. Six years later, following the FBI’s push into drugs and organized crime, the number of bureau informants ballooned to 6,000, the Los Angeles Times reported in 1986. And according to the FBI, the number grew significantly after 9/11. In its fiscal year 2008 budget authorization request, the FBI disclosed that it it had been been working under a November 2004 presidential directive demanding an increase in "human s

A Former FBI Special Agent Says The CIA Kept Him From Helping To Stop 9/11

JAN. 18, 2015

An FBI special agent who lost his job in 2008 told Newsweek columnist Jeff Stein his story about how the 9/11 hijackers slipped through the cracks at the FBI and CIA more than a decade ago.

Mark Rossini said the CIA prevented him from going to FBI headquarters with the information that two known terrorists, who later went on to carry out the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, had entered the US.

Government reports on 9/11 blame a vague "intelligence failure" for the terrorist attack that killed about 3,000 people in 2001 and provide little clarity on why the CIA didn't communicate crucial information about the hijackers to the FBI. This information, in theory, could have helped the US to prevent the attacks.

Rossini said that after 9/11, when congressional investigators started asking him questions about his work with the CIA's Osama bin Laden unit, he and another FBI agent stayed quiet at the direction of CIA officers.

FBI 9/11 Whistle-blower Coleen Rowley: Post-Charlie Hebdo Massacre Rush to Expand Warrantless Surveillance Counterproductive
Posted Jan. 21, 2015

MP3 Interview with Coleen Rowley, former FBI special agent and 9/11 whistle-blower, conducted by Scott Harris

Europe is still on edge after two brutal terrorist attacks in France that claimed the lives of 17, including 12 at the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and four at a kosher food market. Law enforcement agencies across the continent launched investigations into the links between the terrorist Kouachi brothers and Amedy Coulibaly, who were killed in France, and other groups of violent extremists. Two armed men were killed and 13 others were held for questioning after a raid on an apartment in Belgium, where officials say a local extremist group was planning an imminent attack. Dozens more suspected terrorists and supporters were arrested or detained in France, Germany and Greece.

In the U.S., conservative, mostly Republican politicians quickly used the terrorist attacks in France to counter the calls by many Americans to reform the National Security Agency's blanket surveillance both at home and abroad. After former NSA contractor and whistleblower Edward Snowden revealed the broad scope of the agency's warrantless surveillance programs that monitor phone and electronic communications, some congressional leaders moved to support legislation that would trim back and reform the NSA’s spying power. But after the French terrorist attacks, the climate in Washington appears to be shifting.

GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Bob Corker of Tennessee and Richard Burr of North Carolina were among Republicans who made multiple media appearances to support increased funding and flexibility for the NSA to enhance their power to more effectively connect the dots to prevent a future Charlie Hebdo-like attack in the U.S. Between The Lines’ Scott Harris spoke with Coleen Rowley, a former FBI special agent, who wrote a critical memo and testified before Congress to describe some of the FBI’s pre-9/11 failures. Here, she warns that a rush to expand warrantless dragnet surveillance in response to the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, would be a serious mistake.

For more perspectives on efforts to reform warrantless surveillance and the debate on the most effective approaches to prevent terrorism, see Between The Lines' archives.

Barry McDaniel and 15 Reasons to Investigate Stratesec
Posted on January 25, 2015 by Kevin Ryan
One of the men who led Stratesec, the World Trade Center (WTC) security company, has recently resurfaced on some small business websites. This is Barry McDaniel, the U.S. military executive who served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Stratesec from 1996 until 2002 and then briefly became the company’s CEO. The new websites provide rare photos of McDaniel and an opportunity to review some of the many reasons why he and his Stratesec partner Wirt D. Walker should be investigated for the crimes of 9/11.

Barry2Although McDaniel has been largely overlooked by investigators, Walker has been the focus of much investigation due to inquiries into his familial relationship to George W. Bush. The familial relationship is distant, unlike for Stratesec director Marvin Bush—brother to George W. and Jeb, but Walker’s background reveals many deep state connections.

Despite playing a central role in security for 9/11-related facilities, Stratesec was not investigated at all by U.S. authorities after 9/11. The company was a subsidiary of the Kuwait-American Company (KuwAm), foreign-owned and led by Walker and a young member of the Kuwaiti royal family. As described in my book Another Nineteen, there are many reasons to consider Stratesec, KuwAm, and their leaders as suspects in the crimes of 9/11. Here are a few.

Stratesec had unparalleled access to several of the facilities that were central to the events of 9/11. The company had pre-9/11 security contracts with the WTC complex, United Airlines, which owned two of the planes that were destroyed on 9/11, and Dulles Airport where American Airlines Flight 77 took off.
KuwAm was linked through its directors to the terrorist network BCCI. One of KuwAm’s principal directors, Hamzah Behbehani, came to the company after working for a BCCI partner bank from the 1986 until BCCI was shut down. Furthermore, KuwAm was ostensibly funded by Kuwaiti royalty, which had significant BCCI connections. The Chairman of Kuwaiti Airways, for example, was Faisal al-Fulaij, BCCI’s principal nominee. Al-Fulaij was deeply involved in the operations of BCCI and its U.S. subsidiaries. Kuwait’s Finance and Oil minister was Abdul Rahman Al-Atiqi, a major investor in BCCI.
Stratesec held its annual company meetings in office space leased by the governments of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, both of which benefited from the response to 9/11. The offices were at the infamous Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC.
Wirt Walker’s activities ran parallel to those of two known CIA operatives—Ted Shackley and Robert Sensi. All three men had unusual business relationships with Kuwaiti royalty and were involved in aviation and security operations. Like Walker, Sensi had an address in Oklahoma City.
McDaniel had expertise in the acquisition and distribution of military ordnance. He had worked for the D.O.D. as the Deputy Director for Readiness at the U.S. Army Material Command where he was responsible for procuring and fielding all of the weapons systems for the Army. This background made him well suited to the job of acquiring and distributing explosive materials.
McDaniel had links to the Iran-Contra crimes and to companies that conducted covert operations, like Sears World Trade and The Vinnell Corporation.
The timing of McDaniel’s unusual career move to become COO at Stratesec matched the timing of work at the WTC that provided opportunities to plant demolition-related devices. The fireproofing upgrade project began in 1996, when McDaniel arrived, and was ongoing at the time of the 9/11 attacks. The floors of impact had just been completed shortly before the attacks.
At the WTC, Stratesec focused on electronic badging, security gates, and the closed circuit video systems (CCTV). These security controls could therefore have been set-up to be bypassed as needed.
At Dulles Airport, Stratesec had managed airfield access and electronic badging, as well as the security video system that later provided unique and critical evidence implicating the alleged hijackers. The 9/11 Commission Report referenced the security videotape from Dulles in three separate footnotes. The Dulles video was used to implicate all of the accused Flight 77 hijackers. Neither Logan nor Newark airports had such security videotape evidence to provide— only Dulles.
KuwAm and Stratesec were led by directors and investors who were linked to deep state entities and who benefited from the response to the 9/11 crimes.
After Kuwait stopped funding Stratesec, the company’s primary stockholder was a shell company whose principals were convicted of money laundering and conspiracy. This was the company called ES Bankest that illegally transferred nearly 200 million dollars from a Portugese bank to various operations like Stratesec. ES Bankest’s owners, brothers Eduardo and Hector Orlansky, and their partners, were indicted shortly after Stratesec closed.
A stock purchase made by Walker and his wife, the week of 9/11, was flagged by the SEC as suspected 9/11 insider trading. Walker and his wife were never investigated, or even questioned.
KuwAm’s subsidiaries, including all three aviation companies and Stratesec, went bankrupt shortly after 9/11 and there are reasons to believe that they were fronts for covert operations. These reasons include some of the facts described above and that these companies were always able to maintain strong cash flow despite dismal business performance. They appeared to close only because Kuwaiti government funding dried up after 9/11.
KuwAm’s three aviation companies were operationally located in the same Oklahoma City offices—in the same isolated airport hangar—that have since been occupied by Zacarias Moussaoui’s flight trainer.
After 9/11, McDaniel started a “defense solutions” and police state equipment company with Dick Cheney’s old partner Bruce Bradley. When independent investigators revealed that remarkable association, the company’s website was taken down.
Considering these things, it’s a good idea for investigators to remain alert to the activities of Walker, McDaniel, and their associates. Photos of the elusive men are not really necessary and there are still no public photos available for Walker. But McDaniel’s face has finally made an appearance on the web, along with a few other details about his activities and associations.

McDaniel’s current colleagues are a noteworthy bunch with experience in hotspots around the world. They include Kallyan Chakravorty, a former officer in the Indian Army who lists Skylink Aviation on his resume. Skylink is a Canadian company that provides aviation services in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Pakistan. It looks a like a CIA airline but is owned by a Libyan-Israeli named Walter Arbib.

The internet resume McDaniel uses today says that he has been “providing logistical service and construction solutions on most post conflict areas of the world including Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.” He’s just a guy who happened to be the right person to put the security system together for the WTC before it came crashing to the ground, and just happened to have expertise in explosive ordnance. He also happens to be linked to the Iran-Contra crimes, and happened to be business partners with a close colleague of Dick Cheney. Or maybe there’s more to it than that.

The mysterious death of Alberto Nisman

By Adriano Mérola Marotta |

On 18 July 1994, the headquarters of the Israeli Argentinian

The Hizbullah/Iran allegation came to the fore in 2005, but its origins came from the collaboration of US and Israeli security services, with the FBI claiming Hizbullah involvement. This indictment coincided with the escalating low-intensity war between Israel and Hizbullah, which ended in Israel’s invasion of Lebanon and the subsequent 2006 Qana massacre. Similarly, the Iran ‘connection’ coincided with President Ahmadinejad’s first year in office in Iran and the escalation of US-led sanctions.

The lack of clear motive (why would Hizbullah or Iran target a community centre in Argentina?) and the dubious motivations of the sources of the original claims (the US and Israel), pose a conundrum.

At least, they did until Wikileaks confirmed the politicized nature of Nisman’s investigation. The Wikileaks cables of 2011 revealed that Alberto Nisman had been working extensively with the US embassy on the AMIA case, and that the US had had a direct role in providing the key leads in the investigation.

The key information connecting Iran and AMIA had come from the US via ex-Director of Counterintelligence of the Argentine Intelligence Services (SI), Antonio ‘Jaime’ Stiusso.

An infamous intelligence agent who rose to power during the repressive US-backed military junta of 1976-82, Stiusso was a central operative in the ‘gestapo-like’ business of the SI, allegedly linked to the drug trade. Known for his extensive surveillance of prominent politicians, judges and journalists,he retired, along with his staff, the week before Nisman’s death.

The Wikileaks cables revealed that Nisman was regularly reporting his findings to the US embassy and correcting them accordingly.

In fact, although evidence exists of Argentinian or Syrian agents playing a role in the 1994 attack, the FBI is reported to have ordered Nisman to only blame Iran: ‘Do not aim at the Syrian lead or the local connection. Following these leads could weaken the international case against the accused Iranians.’

Nisman’s indictment against President Kirchner came after she signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran in 2013 in order to establish a truth commission and allow Argentinian prosecutors access to Iranian sources for their investigations.

According to Nisman, Kirchner was ready to absolve Iran of guilt in order to procure bilateral trade agreements with the country (although no trade agreement was ever signed, and trade in fact decreased between the countries following the memorandum).

This was the turning point for Nisman, who indicted the president for aiding the alleged Iranian culprits. He was set to disclose further evidence in his case against the president on 19 January, the day he was murdered.

The deceased prosecutor’s investigation into the AMIA attack had hardly been an impartial or rigorous inquest, yet his death has validated suspicions that the president was desperate to avoid any more information being released.

With Argentinian general elections coming up later this year, the rightwing press has been doing its utmost to undermine the legitimacy of the Kirchner presidency.

The rightwing opposition, the Radical Civic Union, was quick to mobilize its supporters after Nisman’s death, calling for the president’s r

CIA Plane in Big Aussie-American Heroin Bust
Former CIA Official Lied in Boston Bombing Cover-Up
Posted on January 28, 2015 by

Boston Marathon bombingFormer top CIA official Graham Fuller lied in a press interview about his former son-in-law, Ruslan Tsarni, the uncle of “The Brothers Tsarnaev,” Tamerlan, now dead, and Dzhokhar, soon to go on trial in Boston for allegedly planting a homemade pressure-cooker bomb packed with shrapnel near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

“A story on the Internet implying possible connections between Ruslan (Tsarni) and the Agency through me is absurd,” Fuller said in an Apr 27 2013 story headlined “Former CIA officer: ‘Absurd’ to link uncle of Boston suspects, Agency,” in Washington-D.C.-based Al-Monitor, which bills itself as the “Pulse of the Middle East.”

fuller (3)Fuller was responding to an exclusive report published here headlined “Was Boston Bombers ‘Uncle Ruslan’ with the CIA?”,which he and reporter Laura Rosen churlishly refused to credit, calling it merely a “story on the Internet” even as they labored to debunk it. Yet it was reported and re-published so widely in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon terror attack that Fuller felt compelled to respond.

Well, compelled to respond may be a little strong. Still, respond he did, in an interview which marshalled arguments to indicate questioning whether Ruslan Tsarni’s connection with the CIA had been through his famous former father-in-law were not just an exercise in futility. They were absurd.

tsarni (7)Just to be clear, there is zero evidence to indicate either Uncle Ruslan Tsarni or the CIA hired the Tsarnaev Brothers to blow up Boston. There is, however, abundant evidence that elements of the U.S. Government have been playing footsie with Chechen terrorists, presumably to divert Russia from committing the kind of rash Neo-Communist Gangster stuff they’d be doing already unless we’re very very careful.

Here’s a troubling question: If it was blow-back from that campaign which blew up in Boston—throwing covert U.S. support at Chechen terrorists—do you think anyone in the U.S. Government is eager to let the American people in on that no-doubt classified-for-reasons-of-national-security secret?

Why, the very idea seems—to use Mr. Fuller’s word—absurd.
Uncle Ruslan meets ‘the boys’

bcIn his interview, Graham Fuller admitted that a second bombshell disclosure in an exclusive Apr 26, 2013, report headlined Boston bombers’ uncle married daughter of top CIA official, also was true: The Tsarnaev Brothers’ uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, was his former son-in-law.

Tsarni was married to Graham Fuller’s daughter Samantha between 1994 and sometime near the dawn of the millenium, Fuller grudgingly admitted. Still, he insisted, without explanation, that suggestions that law enforcement should be checking to see if Ruslan Tsarni had “hooked up” with the CIA through Fuller were “absurd.”

It was an odd assertion. At the very moment he was making it, investigators with the FBI—who remained convinced the Tsarnaev Brothers had outside help and support—were in an intensive manhunt to find foreign connections to the case. Asking questions about links between Ruslan, the CIA, and the bombers would not be seen as out of bounds. Or would they?

Of course, statements by former top CIA officials should be taken with a large grain of salt. Double the salt allowance if the “former” official is still engaged in intrigue in Central Asia.
Hannibal crosses the Alps; Fuller fords his Rubicon

imagesAnd that’s before discounting fstill further for being widely and infamously known as the man who convinced the Reagan Administration that it would be a neat idea to send a callow Marine Lt. Col. named Oliver North with a cake under one arm and some TOW missiles under the other to a meet-and-greet in Tehran with the Ayatollah.

But back to the body blows being thrown against the credibility of anyone with the temerity of reporting the obvious…

“Fuller retired from the agency almost a decade before the brief marriage,” sniffed Laura Rosen, the reporter selected to give him a sympathetic hearing.

YFASHION1-popup“I, of course, retired from CIA in 1987,” Fuller offered helpfully, suggesting his Agency past had receded into the far reaches of recorded history, a dimly-remembered time located somewhere just this side of Hannibal crossing the Alps.

If Fuller retired, moved to Florida, and taken up golf while decked out in the vibrant hues of lime-green and canary-yellow sweater-slack combinations favored in the Florida golfing fraternity, he might have a point.

That was not, alas, how Fuller chose to spend his dwindling years. Even today he keeps stirring the pot in Central Asia, a long-time player in what previous generations called the Great Game.

He’s a consultant at Rand Corp; and he’s written a prodigious number of books with Great-Game-y titles: “Turkey & the Arab Spring;” “The Arab Shia’a;” “The Future of Political Islam;” “Turkey’s Kurdish Question;” “The Geopolitics of Islam & the West. “
Kazakh-style crony capitalism, illustrated

maxresdefaultRuslan Tsarni’s former father-in-law isn’t his only link to the CIA. There’s also his decades-long work history, discovered in a press release from a dodgy oil-related company with no assets and a ridiculous name whose President had been somehow lured away from a life-long career with Halliburton.

It reveals that Tsarni had worked in Central Asia for the Agency for International Development (USAID)—a U.S. Government Agency often used for cover by the CIA, including a two-year stint in the former Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan during the “Wild West” days of the early 1990’s, when anything that wasn’t nailed down in that country was up for grabs.

379-cia-usaid-1At a time when vast natural resources and enormous fortunes were ‘in play’ during the economic free-for-all in the “Stans” after the collapse of the Soviet Union, 24-year old Ruslan Tsarni was already a ‘player.’

Ruslan Tsarni is once again working (since 2010) working for USAID. Oddly enough, Russia, the country competing with the US for influence in the region, unceremoniously kicked USAID out of the country just months before the Boston Bombing terror attack, for, according to a Putin spokesmen, encouraging his political opposition.
Ruslan Tsarni & the Congress of Chechen International Organizations

tsarni (1)In his interview with Laura Rosen, Fuller uncorked a whopper. Said Fuller,“Like all Chechens, Ruslan was very concerned about his native land, but I saw no particular involvement in politics [although] he did try to contact other Chechens around.”

Perhaps Fuller felt that no one would notice. Perhaps he felt immune to fact-checking, a sentiment common among Reagan-era CIA officials. But whatever his motivation, he has been caught in a provable lie. Ruslan Tsarni, as Fuller well knows, has been up to his neck in Central Asian political intrigue for decades.

An undated still image taken from video shows the address of Chechen rebels, led by Emir of the Caucasus Doku Umarov

On August 17,1995, while Ruslan Tsarni and Graham Fuller’s daughter Samantha were still virtual newlyweds, Tsarni incorporated a company in Maryland called the “Congress of Chechen International Organizations.”

Ruslan Tsarni was listed as the company’s resident agent. The group sent aid to Islamic terrorists in Chechnya, including thousands of pairs of combat boots, coordinating its efforts with another so-called “charity,” Benevolence International, designated “financiers of terrorism” by the Treasury Department before being shut down by US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald.

The company’s listed address, 11114 Whisperwood Ln. Rockville MD., was the home address of former top CIA official s Graham Fuller.

Today, the home remains listed in his wife’s name.
“An impromptu press conference aired live on network television”

bost (2)With worldwide attention on the upcoming trial of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, what facts could possibly be being deliberately de-selected and hidden from view?

In “Long Mile Home” a book about the Boston Marathon Bombing by two Boston Globe reporters, everything they have to say about Ruslan Tsarni isn’t much:

“On the Friday morning after Tamerlan was killed, with police still hunting for Dzhokhar, investigators and reporters found their uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, a corporate attorney living outside Washington D.C.

When he emerged after speaking to FBI agents inside his home, he walked up to television cameras and reporters gathered outside looking for the latest in what had become the biggest story in the world. In an impromptu press conference aired live on network television, Tsarni offered condolences to the bombing victims, denounced his nephews, and ordered Dzhokhar to turn himself in.

Asked to explain what provoked the brothers to attack, Tsarni said, “Being losers. Hatred for those who were able to settles themselves. These are the only reasons I can imagine. Anything else—anything to do with religion, with Islam –that’s a fraud. It’s a fake.”

Asked how he felt about the United States, Tsarni said, “I respect this country. I love this country.”

An opinion writer for the Washington Post called his words “inspiring,” and said his press conference was “a moment we all needed.”

The New Yorker said he “looked like he might hunt his nephew down himself.”

That’s it. That’s everything they wrote about Ruslan Tsarni. Nothing about his work overseas for USAID. Nothing about being the former son-in-law of a top CIA official, or about running an organization out of his house that was sending aid to Chechen terrorists. Most of all nothing about his being—at the same time he was calling his nephews “losers”— a guy involved, according to the London Telegraph, in the biggest bank fraud in history.

By anyone’s standards, that’s a lot not to report. The authors must be proud.
“Uncle” Ruslan Tsarni is the elephant in the living room

download (1)“News,” someone once wrote, “is selection.”

And selection is always based on an ideology and an agenda. Just something to remember the next time you’re reading, or watching, the ‘news.’

As jury selection proceeds in Boston in the upcoming trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the most pressing question about the attack remains one which is so obvious even Time Magazine is asking it: Did They Really Act On Their Own?

The logical place to start would be with Uncle Ruslan, who’s been married to the daughter of a former top CIA official who remains a”player” in Central Asia’s Great Game. But, of course, it ain’t gonna happen.

hittersWhether by accident or design, Ruslan Tsarni played the same role in the aftermath of the Boston terror attack played after the 9/11 terror attack by Rudi Dekkers, manager of Mohamed Atta’s flight school in Venice. And just like Rudi Dekkers before him, his pronouncements were received uncritically.

The mainstream media fawned all over him. He was soon being called “Uncle Ruslan. He became the primary go-to source on the suspects, peddling his brief about the perfidy and all-around loser nature of his two nephews, one of whom, who he’d helped raise and bring to America, had just been killed in a hail of gunfire with police.

There were no tears for Uncle Ruslan. He was “protected,” and no doubt glad for it.

tsarni (7)When Graham Fuller fibbed about Ruslan’s political activities, was it out of personal loyalty, or in support of a larger operation which had Ruslan Tsarni leading every 24-hour news cycle for more than a week during the biggest story of the year? Is there anyone in America who still thinks this happens by accident?

Physical Law Excludes Official Explanation of a Streak of Light Near TWA 800
Posted on June 11, 2011
The FBI interviewed 182 people who reported seeing a rising streak of light in the sky moments before TWA Flight 800 exploded into a ball of flames off the coast of Long Island, NY in July of 1996. Most of these witnesses said the streak exploded at its apex which was where the jetliner was traveling. Some saw it hit the aircraft.

Federal investigators said the rising streak was the plane itself climbing sharply after exploding, but the law of conservation of energy doesn’t allow for such a climb because the FAA radar sites that tracked the jet did not record a necessary reduction in airspeed. According to this physical law, jetliners climbing in a gravitational field must either be propelled by adequate thrust or slow down. A 747 does not have enough thrust to climb anywhere close to the 12,000 feet per minute shown in government animations, so the only way Flight 800 could have climbed that steeply would have been to tap into its kinetic energy by decelerating.

In August of 2000, the National Transportation Safety Board concluded that a spark ignited fuel vapors inside Flight 800’s nearly empty central fuel tank, blowing the front wall of the tank forward which then punched a hole in the belly of the plane. Then about four seconds later according to the Safety Board, the fuselage unzipped starting at this hole and around the entire circumference of the wide body jet, causing the front section of the aircraft to separate from the rear.

As the front section fell to the ocean, officials claim that the resulting weight imbalance caused the rest of the jet, wings included, to begin a steep climb. According to Safety Board Eyewitness Group Chairman Dr. David Mayer at the final public hearing on the crash in 2000, the streak of light seen by eyewitnesses “may have been the accident airplane in crippled flight.”

CIA Video
Still frame taken from the CIA animation of TWA Flight 800, released on November 18th, 1997.
The idea that Flight 800 climbed after exploding was first proposed in 1997 by a team at the CIA that created an animation entitled “TWA Flight 800: What Did the Eyewitnesses See?”. The FBI held a nationally televised press conference to present the animation, which showed the jetliner climbing 3000 feet and trailing flames. During the animated climb, the CIA narrator said “this may have looked like a missile attacking an aircraft.”

However, FAA radar sites recorded the aircraft maintaining its airspeed when the CIA said it was climbing sharply–two mutually exclusive phenomena.

The law of conservation of energy excluded the climb

In theory, Flight 800 could have climbed sharply. Stunt pilots regularly perform such climbs by exchanging airspeed for altitude. A stunt plane’s kinetic energy (one half the mass of the aircraft times the square of its velocity) is converted into potential ene
